Lucknow: Five prisoners of girls escape from houses take refuge in Motinagar during early morning.
A pine has been filed against eight staff members of the shelter, including an art and craft teacher.
In complaints to the police, Rajkiya Bal Grih’s supervisor assistant, Motinagar, Mithilesh Pal said the prisoners escaped between 2.58 in the morning and 3.25 in the morning.
“They support the basin and window of the dining room to reach the roof of the building to escape,” he said.
Those who fled the shelter including two 17-year-old girls from Hardoi and Amroha, a 15-year-old girl from Unnao, and two 16-year-old girls from Sultanpur and Sitapur.
Pal said that the art and craft teacher, Meena Devi, the fourth grade of Shikha Bhattacharya and Jamil employees, the security guard of Sabina and Kavita private women, Vivek Jaiswal Peon, and a house keeper, who was on duty when the incident occurred.
“It appeared during the investigation that Meena, Shikha, Sabina and Kavita were present in the temporary place Vivek and Jamil were at the gate on the outside of the building,” said Pal.
He said Home Guard, Amit, was present in the guard room on the top floor and just across the roof of the dining room.
It was found in CCTV footage that the girls climbed the roof of the dining room and the place was only 5-6 feet from the guard room.
The CCTV footage also revealed that the craft teacher, Meena Devi, went to Washbasin twice to wash his face and the girls entered the room they saw it.
Pal said the staff were careless and demanded action against them.
The officer of the district, Lucknow, Sudhakar Pandey said that all the girls were taken to a shelter on June 25 and stored in the quarantine room considering the Covid-19 protocol.
Deputy Deputy Police Commissioner additional, West Zone, Rajesh Srivastava said the FIR against eight staff members had been submitted.
Srivastava also reached the place and asked the staff deployed at the night shift.
“We have sent details of the girls to the bus / train station in the city and neighboring districts.
We also have told police officials in each girl,” he said.
