Coimbatore: Madukkarai police arrested five people on Friday for killing a 23-year-old wall painter.
Police identify victims as M Vijayan, Palathurai in Madukkarai.
Vijayan was killed by S Shabir, 24, MalumichamPatti and a Binas, 26, Atlantic Nagar in Madukkarai with the help of S Dhanush, 25, from Madukkarai and S Haritharan, 21, Ganeshapuram in Podanur who works as a wall painter and R paruthi vinayagam, 22, Students based in Sundarapuram, said a police officer.
“Shabir and Beras raise dogs and roosters for sales.
Dhanush, haritharan and vinayagam, which is a regular buyer, has surprised friendship with them.
After the rooster was stolen from the Boins place in Madukkarai, he found that one sasikumar was behind theft.

When Boin and Shabir arrested him, Vijayan returned the roosters, “the officer said.
Befinery accused Vijayan to steal some rooster in the past two months and demanded compensation.
“On Thursday night, Shabir, Beras, Dhanush, Haritharan and Vijayagam brought Vijayan to an isolated place in Madukkarai to sort out this problem.
When a broken fight, Befinery and Shabir stabbed Vijayan with a knife.
Three other men helped them.
Vijayan died at that place , “The officer added that they were ordered under Section 147 (punishment for riots), 148 (riots, armed with deadly weapons), 342 (wrong restraint), 302 (killing) from the Criminal Code.
