PATNA: Altogether five villagers, who had been supposedly engaged with liquor smuggling and attacking a police officer in Tarwa Musahari below the Parsa Bazar police station place at Patna on Monday night, have been detained on Wednesday.
SHO Priya Jyoti told TOI,”Of those 15 appointed accused, Chotan, Ashok, Jitendra, Mahendra and Mahesh are nabbed.

ASI Vijay Narayan Manjhi, who had been leading the group, said almost 50 villagers carrying wooden rods, iron rods and firearms had assaulted him two constables, Premjeet Singh along with Raghunandan Thakur, later enclosing them in three sides.
“The attackers struck me around the head from behind and beat me up.
Then they threw me onto the street in a semi-unconscious state.
In addition they strike Premjeet and hauled him into a subject after yanking his loaded rifle,” that the ASI stated, adding that his motorist, Ramakant Kumar, was able to escape, leaving the police car behind.
Calling the strike that a”pre-planned conspiracy”, Manjhi stated,”Still another constable, Raghunandan, was also attacked, but he escaped with the support of a biker.”
