Coimbatore: Five police officers from this district are among the 20 police officers chosen by the Ministry of Houses from the State for the police medal this year for their merit service.
Usually for the ministry of the house to choose police officers from all over the country for their famous work on the occasion of the Republican Day and give them awards.
This year, the Ministry of Rumah has chosen Commissioner of the City of Pradip Kumar, Inspector General of Police (Western Zone) R Sudhakar, Deputy City of the Supplementary City Police Commissioner (Traffic Planning) V Enalangovan, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Intelligence Section) Murugel and Deputy Supervisor of Murithan Police ( Organized crime unit, CB-CID) from the district for a police medal.
Pradip Kumar was appointed as the city police commissioner two months ago and since then he has implemented various schemes to prevent crime and ensure the safety of women and children.
Sudhakar, meanwhile, was appointed as the Western Zone IGP in July 2021 and he played a role in accelerating the probe into the case of cum kodanad murder.
All 20 police officers from the State will receive a medal from the Head of Minister M K Stalin Soon.tnn
