Mumbai: Three officers and two police officers connected to the Vakola Police Station were transferred to the West Control Room on Thursday after an investigation of the department found irregularities on duty when the Social Services Branch (SSB) of the Crime Mumbai branch invaded a pub in Santacruz (East)) and detained 88 People, including 27 women, in December 2021.
During the SSB attack, liquor worth RS 57,000 was also confiscated from there.
RAID was done in the pub after SSB Sleuths received a tip-off that establishment operates outside the specified time.
A senior police officer confirmed TII about Inspector, two sub-inspectors, and two police officers were moved from the Vakola Police Station.
“This is a sentence for five police personnel after the investigation stated they were wrong,” the officer said.
