Five protesters, four policemen were injured in clashes in Baghjan for payment

Dibrugarh: Agitation for a week for suspicion that was postponed by compensation to the family affected by Baghjan oil properly at Tinsukia Assam flared on Saturday, leaving five civilians and four policemen injured in rubber bullets, stingling gas stones by the protesters.
The police said they used gas rips and rubber bullets only when the situation was threatened by spiral out of control.
The protesters, who are the occupants of the Baghjan area, have squatted on the road to oil fields every day for a week to demand a compensated quantum release set by the National Green Court.
On Saturday morning, Tinsukia District Administrative Officers were accompanied by police and CRPF contingents, reached the location and asked the protesters to clear the road.
When the blockade continued, the order was issued to expel the demonstrators by force.
“We tried to reason with them, but they still insisted.
In the end, we had to lend to protesters to disperse them.
Some of them began throwing stones at the police, because we fired rubber bullets and straighten tear shells,” said Tinsukia SP Debojit Deuri.
Protesters claim that even after a year since Baghjan Blowout, most of the affected people have not received a full amount of compensation.
Oil has compensated them gradually and many are still in the waiting list.
“Instead of sympathizing with people, the government is sorted by high resilience,” Satyajit Moran, President Baghjan Gaon Milanjyoti Yuba Sangha who pioneered protests, said.
“Last year, the NGT panel panel improved RS 25 lakh compensation to 173 families and Rs 20 Lakh to 439 families affected by Baghjan Blowout.
But at any time, only 12 families who received Rs 25 Lakh, 161 families have received Rs 15 Lakh and 439 The family has received Rs 10 Lakh, “he added.
