Five train projects are being developed by Oridl in Odisha

BHubaneswar: Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Limited (Oridl), the state government joint venture (51 percent) and the train Ministry (49 percent), developed five projects in Odisha after completing traffic and financial assessment studies.
The Ashwini Vaishnaw Railway Minister told Rajya Sabha in a written reply on Friday that the Railroad Council had given the principle approval of these projects to take pre-investment activities.
These projects are Gopalpur-Rairakhol New Line (270 km), Naraj Marthapur-Kaipadar Road New Line bypassing Bhubaneswar (69.54 km), Banspani-Barbil New Line (17.5 km), Bargarh-Nuabada New Line (142 Km) and the new lane-chakulia buramara (55 km).
Regarding this status of these projects, the minister said the detailed project report (DPR) for the Gopalpur-Rairakhol project was prepared.
This report has been approved by the Oridl Board for further delivery for job sanctions.
The line will connect the sambalpur industrial belt with the Gopalpur port in the Ganjam district.
Phulbani, the city of Kandhamal headquarters, who do not have train connectivity until the date will get a link.
This center has allocated a number of tokens for this year’s project.
Likewise, a DPR for the Naraj Marthapur-Kaipadar road project has been prepared and is being considered by the Ordl Board.
After the completion of this project, the train the south bound items will not take a trip to rotate and cut busy stations like Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Because this route, train traffic will be reduced at the station like Bhubaneswar.
The Minister stated that the Railroad Council had given the principle approval for Banspani-Barbil projects on the condition that 100 percent funds for this project must be carried out by the state government.
The proposal for funds is considered by the Odisha government, he added.
For the Bargarh-Nuuada project and Buramara-Chakulia, the principle approval for pre-investment activities was given on December 31 last year.
More action on these projects was taken by Oridl, the official source said.
On November 24 last year, Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for profitable consideration and early sanctions and implementing the Link Rail Buramara-Chakulia project.
It will provide connectivity for people from the Great Tribal District of Mayurbhanj to the Jharkhand and North Indian industrial belt.
