Ranchi: Ranchi Police have arrested five people in connection with the murder of the Advocate Manoj Kumar Jha (58) in Radgoan Village under the Tamar Block in the district, police said on Monday.
Ranchi SSP Surindra Jha said, “The investigation team specifically conducts several attacks in West Bengal, Odisha and other countries to arrest criminals.
Further investigation in this case is underway.” Police Ranchi has registered the case below 302, 120 b and 34 IPC.
The people arrested were identified as Sonu Ansari, Imdad Ansari, Rizwan Ansari, Sanjit Manjhi and Shakil Ansari.
State-made gun, three cartridges, cars, bicycles, and six cellphones confiscated from their ownership.
They have shot Jha die on July 26 when he oversees the ongoing work on a plot of land in the village.
Police said that investigations have so far revealed that JHA is used to oversee work in the plot, which belongs to St Xavier’s College, in Radgaon Village.
An criminal named Afsar Alam alias Langda, along with his accomplice, has put a claim for the plot and this problem goes to court.
The court has given the verdict after St Xavier’s College.
Then, the nature and legs hit a plan to get rid of Jha so they could sell land and distribute money among themselves.
