Rajkot: Five family members died in place when the car where they traveled jumping racers and crashing into a bus on the Rajkot-Gondal National Highway on Tuesday.
Two seriously injured children have been treated at a private hospital in Rajkot.
According to the police, Ashwin Gadhiya (38), his wife Sonal (38), his mother Sharda (56), his brother-in-law Prestuly Bathroliya and his sister Bhanu Bathrolia died in place.
Ashwin’s son, Dhamil (12) and Pressur Pressur Jeni (8) received a sad injury and fought for their lives in the hospital.
The native of Munjiyasar Village Bagasara Taluka in Amreli Regency and the residents of the Kapodra area were traveling to Saurashtra to attend several marriages in the morning.
They were on their way to offer prayers at the Khodaldam temple near Jetpur when their car tires exploded between Biliyara and Bhojpara Village and the driver lost control of the car.
“The car jumped over the racer and crashed into the country’s transportation bus from the Veraval side.
The intensity of the collision was such that the roof of the car was fascinated and the vehicle was destroyed,” said a police officer.
Ashwin Mukesh’s younger brother, who came to Munjiyasar two days ago, told the police that the family should come to Munjiyasar after visiting Khodaldham Temple.
After the accident took place, the ambulance 108 of Gondal and the other of the trust reached the place while the locals rushed first to help.
The state transportation bus was also damaged in the accident but no passengers were injured.
