Letter: The local court on Monday released five people accused of in March 2003 cases registered under various parts of the explosive law.
The 11th additional court of the judge released Selvaraj alias Selu Pyappan Cavander, Shanmuga Sundaram Srinivasan Kaundar, Ramesh Hiralal Kapadiya, Rushabh Rajmal Shah and Karanjinh Pratapsinh Solanki due to lack of evidence.
Of the other two accused in the case registered in March 2003 – Sandip and Ganesh Solanki – have died during the trial.
The other accused Vijayan aka Vijay Toraiswami Adidravidar could not be tracked by an investigator agent.
According to the case details, complaints submitted by Jitendra Khumansinh Rao, police sub-inspector with Crime Branch on March 28, 2003 after the crime branch team stormed an apartment at Ghod Do Road.
Rao increasingly stated that they had recovered explosives from an apartment at the Park Society at the back of the Vrundavan Park at Ghod Do Road.
Some defendants were nabbed from the place.
During the attack, the police had recovered a timer bomb, one fuse wire stick bomb, one bomb without timer, six electronic detonators, 13 non-electronic detonators, eight explosive sticks, three fortress wire fuses and a bottle of anesthesia.
The police claimed in the complaint that the defendant had planned using explosives to threaten the owner of a plot of land which was worth RS 4 Crore.
It is located at the Unn Gram Panchayat limit.
The key to accusing Kapadiya has promised at Rs 1 Crore to be accused of others.
