Nagpur: Additional Session Judge PB Ghuge on Saturday punish Shubham Arjunwar and his friend Jyoti Ajit for five years in prison and a fine of RS 5,000 for their involvement in ambiguous anti-covid remedal drugs Asha Khapre near the cremation land in April.
Five bottles of remdesivir were confiscated from Arjunwar who tried to sell it at increased prices.
Arjunwar is still in prison.
Following Arjunwar’s interrogation, his friend Jyoti was also caught.
He had stolen a bottle from the hospital where he worked.
Jyoti comes out with a guarantee.
The court sentenced Arjunwar below part 420 from the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) to deceive and punish him five years in prison and a fine of RS 5,000.
Jyoti was also sentenced to five years in prison under Section 381 IPC for theft.
He was also fined Rs 5,000.
Both were released with other charges.
The prosecution was represented by the Special Public Prosecutor Jyoti Vajani.
