LONDON: Prince William England has launched an attack on space tourism, urging more attention to problems closer to the house before the COP26 climate summit.
Comments by the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II aired in a BBC interview later Thursday, the day after the “Star Trek” star William Shatner became a real space traveler on the second crewed mission of the blue origin.
The mission replied the initial human flight from July, which included the founder of Jeff Bezo from Amazon and was seen as a breakthrough for the space tourism sector that appeared.
But Prince William said: “We need some of the biggest brains and thoughts in the world set to try to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and stay.” Virgin Galactic, which offers a similar experience from a little interest in a few minutes and the sight of the curvature of the earth from Kosmos, launched his founder of Richard Branson in July, a few days before Bezos.
William spoke ahead of the Prime Earthshot Prize Prize ceremony on Sunday, his initiative to respect those who worked on environmental solutions.
Looking forward to the COP26 summit in Glasgow, which began on October 31, he warned world leaders against “smart speaking, smart words, but not enough action”.

within 30 years, still saying the same thing, because at that time we would be late.” William Pangeran Charles’s father, a lifelong environment lover, also talked about the need for actions from leaders than words in a buildup to the UN climate summit.
“He has a very rude trip about it, and I think you know he is proven far in front of the curve, far beyond the time in a warning about some of these dangers,” William said.
“But there should be no third generation that now comes must increase it even more.” Queen Elizabeth, Charles and William all will attend the event at the two-week summit.
The meeting will try to persuade a large growing economy to do more to cut their carbon emissions, and get a rich world to cough billions more to help poor countries adapt to climate change.
“I want the things I enjoyed – outside life, nature, environment – I want it to be there for my children, and not just my children but other people’s children,” William said.
“If we are not careful we rob from the future of our children through what we do now.
And I think it’s not fair.”
