Flag of March in Assam District as a Covid situation remains gloomy

Guwahati / Jorat: Police and paramilitary forces carry out the March flag in many parts of Jorhat and Golaghat districts on Monday because the Covid situation in two Assam Regency continues to be gloomy.
The flag parade was carried out in an effort to uphold the Covid protocol strictly in the district which remained vulnerable because of the high number of positive cases in the last 10 days.
This situation remained unchanged even after the government stated total detention in both districts for a period of six days starting July 7.
In addition, the state government also stated the destination district, Sonitpur, Biswanath, Morigaon and Lakhimpur as the total zone detention from July 7.
Jorhat SP Ankur Jain said, “We have intensified our operations to enforce Covid norms and ensure that strict actions are taken against those who oppose the guidelines.
Our team even uses buses and trucks to choose people and motorbikes found on the road.” SP Said strict action has also been taken against the Bootleggers who run the Liquor Dens forbidden.
“We have won and destroyed large amounts of banned liquor in the tea park area scattered in the teok and Mariani.
Similar operations are also being carried out along the Assam-Nagaland border area,” he said.
Police and paramilitary forces carried out the March flag in urban and rural areas in Jorhat Town, Tow, Titabor and Mariani to uphold Covid norms after rampant violations of the Covid protocol by locals.
Security forces also used drones to carry out air oversight in several rural areas such as Chintamonigarh in the TEOK to guard the tab to people who opposed Covid guidelines.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ashok Kumar Barman ordered a total Lockdown in the district on Monday and Tuesday.
The grocery store, which is allowed to open, has been ordered to stay closed for 48 hours starting Monday.
“Given the surge in positive Covid cases, all retail stores, vegetables and fruits will remain close for two days throughout the Jorhat district,” the Order said.
In Biswanath Regency Assam, all grocery stores, vegetables and fruit vendors will remain close from Tuesday.
Biswanath DC Pranab Kumar Sharma said, “To prevent the spread of Covid-19 in all grocery stores, vegetable vendors and fruit have been ordered to stay close to tomorrow (Tuesday) to further notice.” Golaghat DC Mrigesh Narayan recently ordered more closely from all grocery stores, retail outlets, vegetables and fruit stalls throughout the district for two days early Tuesday.
Security forces will parade flags in rural and urban areas.
The police detained around 300 people because they opposed Covid norms in the Golaghat district.
The police also confiscated 135 vehicles and sealed 19 stores for violating Covid norms in the last 36 hours.
A police officer told Ti that a fine of RS 3 Lakh had been collected from Covid’s norm violators in Golaghat on Monday.
“We have also destroyed a 20,000-liter liquor in the district on Monday,” the police said.
The State Health Department has blamed the Covid situation in several districts, which are under the total decline, for slow decreases in positive cases.
The Director of Assam NHM Lakshhman said the decline in the case of everyday countries had been quite slow.
This, he has been a major concern along with higher participants in several districts.
“If we can reach less than 2,000 cases this week which can be a significant increase.
Targeted testing has increased in the location where most cases are reported,” he said.
Even as a district like Cachar, which remains the most vulnerable, has increased extraordinary, Lakshhman warns that all trends can reverse in the case of “something new” happening.
“Something new will happen at some point in time.
But before our target is to bring the number of cases to at least 100,” he said while warning the public to obey Covid norms so that the second wave did not turn into the third wave.
Golaghat, Kamrop (Metropolitan) and Jorhat Regency recorded the highest number of cases in the last 10 days.
While Golaghat over it with 2,474 cases, in Kamrup (metropolitan) and the Jorhat respectively reported 1,868 and 1,702 cases during the period until Sunday night.
On the other hand, in districts such as South Salmara MANCACHAR and West Karbi Anglong, despite low vaccination, less than 100 cases have been reported in 10 days.
Lakshman’an said that the overall level of participation of Assam fell to less than two percent, only a few vulnerable districts still showed four to five percent.
