Jaisalmer: The largest national flag in the world made from Khadi will be appointed on January 15 (Army day) on the hilltop near the Army War Museum to mark 75 years of independence.
Some tourists are expected to visit Jaisalmer City to watch the event.
Many senior military officers, public representatives, and other people will be present on January 15.
After Leh in Jammu and Kashmir and Mumbai, Jaisalmer will be third place where the largest Khadi flag in the world will be appointed.
Previously, the world’s largest flag in the world, made from Khadi Cloth, was installed in Leh, Ladakh, on the opportunity to commemorate the 152-year anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2021.
According to information from a reliable source, the flag will be appointed on a hill on the national highway Jodhpur near the station and Jaisalmer military preparation.
The bender is 225 feet long and 150 feet wide and weighs around 1,000 kg and the Gramodyog Khadi has succeeded.
The source said dozens of workers and JCB machines were busy installing this flag.
This flag includes around 37,500 sqft.
