Flashings of flu: online still win offline

Bhubaneswar: With the case of virus fever, cold and cough up in the city, many parents have stopped sending their children to schools for offline 8 to 12.
And this has left a burdened teacher because they have to do online and offline classes for a thin presence in physical classrooms.
“My daughter told me that three class students coughed and cold.
Some others stopped attending the offline class after viral fever.
Even though they might not get Covid, I didn’t feel safe to send it to school.
I have asked my daughter to attend online classes,” said Supriti Pani, the mother of 9th grade students of the city school.
The teachers say about 20% -30% of students attend offline lessons in class 10, 11 and 12, while around 50% of students in Junior class choose offline classes in private schools.
In schools managed by the government, the percentage of presence is slightly better.
“In addition to Covid-19 fear, there are several other factors that students do not come to school.
They prefer to attend online classes from the comfort of their home.
Also, the quality of online teaching has improved.
The syllabus has been revised and students will only face multiple choice questions in the test , “said Debapriya Sahu, a teacher in a private school.
“In classrooms with smart class facilities, we ask students to join home, but in other cases, we have to take additional classes for online students, tiring ones.
Most teachers will prefer offline classes when students pay less attention online.
At Offline classes, they can directly interact with students, “said Madhusmita Dash, another teacher.
Offline classes from class 8 to 12 have again crossed Odisha.
The government has announced to reopline offline classes for grade 6 and 7 students on November 15.
