Flexible and agile Covid Vaccination Strategies can play an important role in protecting life, the Lancet report said

New Delhi: Lancet reports published recently suggested that flexible and agile vaccination strategies can play an important role in protecting life and livelihoods when the Pandemic Covid-19 continues to open.
Lancet Report, titled ‘Responsive and agile vaccination strategy against Covid-19 in India’ was published in the current edition of Global Global Global Magazine Open-Access.
“Overall, our analysis offers a principle demonstration that even limited vaccination resources can marshall for maximum impact, if it is flexible to a response to a rapidly-growing epidemic.
Looking forward, experience from influenza pandemics in 1918 and 2009, and a pandemic Covid-19 Currently in other countries, highlight potential is not only two, but even the next wave, infection.
Flexible vaccination strategies can play an important role in protecting life and livelihoods when the Covid-19 pandemic continues to open “the report said.
The door-to-door vaccination strategy will not be feasible based on current guidelines, but report reports for innovative steps such as satellite vaccination centers are closer to hamlets in rural areas, conversion rooms and parking spaces for drive-in facilities.
“Thus, the door-to-door vaccination strategy will not be a decent choice in the current guidelines.
However, other strategies can also help in achieving rapid coverage in the specified geographical location.
Innovative steps currently being tried at India includes building satellite vaccination centers closer to hamlets in rural arrangements and population welfare associations in urban areas; change community space and use large parking spaces for drive-in vaccination; and use cellular vaccination facilities to include a population that is not easily accessible access to vaccination, “The report was further stated.
Lancet also suggests spatial targeting as another implementation strategy that says, “For example, in a situation where infection in a district seems to be geographically carrying out an outbreaks of outbreaks that can adopt a ring vaccination strategy by focusing on the environment of this infection, before developing to cover the whole Regency.
“The report praised the existing infrastructure under the expanded immunization program for storing the Covid-19 vaccine currently being used.
“India benefits from previously infrastructure under an immunization program expanded by more than 26,000 cold chain points throughout the country, most of which (97 percent) included in the sub-district level.
This facility is suitable for storing Covid-19 vaccine when It is used in India.
In addition, rapid response vaccination may require dedicated vaccine supplies, with careful consideration whether this stockpile will be held at the district level or as a state-level depot for fast mobilization, “added the report.
