PATNA: Fight surgeries to and out of Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport remained disrupted for the second successive day on Thursday because of inclement weather below the effect of cyclone Yaas.
Flight operations in the city airport have been suspended following 5pm, resulting in conclusion of four flights.
Airport officials said that the flight operations could stay suspended until 9am on Friday.
Amritsar-bound flight of Air India (AI-726) had been the final aircraft which landed at Patna airport approximately 4.
32pm Thursday.
1 Air India flight (AI-764) between Delhi and Patna was redirected to Kolkata approximately 6.
20pm while Vistara’s Delhi-bound airport (UK-715/716) has been returned to Delhi by midway because of the terrible weather conditions from Patna.
Airport manager Bhupesh C H Negi stated flight operations had been ceased in Patna airport at the day under the effects of cyclone.
The scenario will be assessed prior to resuming flight operations,” he added.
According to the data given from the officers of Patna airport, entirely 15 flights worked on Thursday, comprising seven IndiGo, three all Air India and also GoAir and 2 of SpiceJet.
