Mumbai: Deputy Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar on Friday spoke with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in a deteriorating flood situation in the state.
Singh convinced defense forces in rescue operations and assistance, said the statement of the pawar.
The Army and Navy teams have been deployed in the state.
Maharashtra Relief and Rehabilitation of ASIEN Gupta Secretary have been appointed as Nodal officers for coordination with the Ministry of Defense, the statement added.
The regency guard ministers and local elected representatives have been asked to stay in the flood-hit district until the situation is normal.
Minister Guardian Raigad Aditi Tatkare, Minister Guardian Ratnagiri Anil Puriab, Minister of Guardian Sindhudurg Uday Samant, Minister of Satara Guardian Balasaheb Patil and all the MLA from these areas has been asked to keep competing to participate in and supervise rescue operations and reliefs, said release.
