Lucknow: Chief of Yogi Adityanath minister on Tuesday directing officials to ensure that flood assistance operations are not delayed in affected areas.
Maintaining a high-level meeting, he said all assistance must be given to the people affected by the flood within 24 hours.
CM also ordered officials to keep the eyes constantly at the river level and make preparations for flood control.
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Force Response Disaster State (SDRF) and the disaster management team have been stored in high alert, said a government spokesman.
More than 66 teams, including NDRF, SDRF and PAC have been deployed in 42 districts to overcome flooding.
The government has used 4,835 ships and 949 medical teams, and has been regulated while 1,297 flood posts and 1,090 animal assistance camps.
“More than 78,285 dry ransum kits have been distributed until now, including 5,123 in the last 24 hours,” said the spokesman.
The government has distributed more than 3.6 late lunch packages for affected people until now.
About 23,117 lunch packages have been distributed in the last 24 hours, he added.
The government has deployed the NDRF team in Mirzapur, Prasagraj, Bahraich, Shraverti, Siddharth Nagar, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Ballia and Varanasi, while 18 Tim SDRF has been deployed in Moradabad, Agra, Bareilly, Balrampur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Ballia, Varanasi and Maharajanj.
