Mumbai: The Nationalist Congress Party on Thursday slams the Bharatiya Party Janata in the middle to ‘misleading’ people who help Rs 701 Crore have been approved for Maharashtra farmers as a flood assistance.
Referring to the statement of Agriculture Minister Union Narendra Singh Tomar on Wednesday (July 28) in parliament that the number of assistance was given to the state, a spokesman for the Head of NCP Mahesh Tapase said that relief was related to mid-2020 floods.
“We want to clarify that the amount mentioned by the Minister Uni for last year’s flood when the Government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has been searching for Rs 3,701-Crore as a relief, which is only Rs 701 Crore, it is also, after a year, “Tapase is shown.
For the current flood crisis in the state has not provided assistance to farmers and the current agreed amount (RS 701 Crore) is for Malarash the previous year, when Maharashtra has provided a Help package of Rs 4,375 Crore, he added.
“At present, Maharashtra carries out a definite loss assessment suffered by flood last week.
Then we will send a comprehensive report to the Help Center,” Tapase said.
Taking friction in the middle, he said that it could be sanctioned on the number of relief ex-gratia directly for Maharashtra farmers without waiting for a loss assessment report, as did for Gujarat.
However, this center has not done this because the country currently has the MVA government from Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress, he said.
