FloodWaters Enter Kaziranga National Park

Jorhat: The first wave of floods hit Kaziranga National Park and Tiger reserves on Friday.
The authorities of Park said because of the increase in Brahmaputa’s surface in the last few days, the flood had entered the park for the first time this year.
“Because of the increased surface of the water in Brahmaputa, some low-lying areas in Kaziranga have been influenced by floods.
This is for the first time this year that the flood has entered the edges of the park.
Our preparation for overcoming the situation,” said a forest official in Kaziranga.
He added, “Park’s authority has honed for all the forest staff working in the national park.
They have been ordered to take all the steps needed to ensure animal protection.” Floods have affected three ranges of garden forests – bagori, burapahar and agoratoli – on Friday.
Almost all of the lowland areas in this forest have sunk.
Animals shelter in the area adjacent to Brahmaputa have shifted elsewhere to find the plateau.
Two deer pig was found dead on the NH-37 on Thursday night.
Both were exposed to vehicles when they crossed the highway from the Burapahar forest to reach the nearby hill.
Then, the forest staff found an animal carcass but could not catch a vehicle offensive.
The time card spent on monitoring the vehicle speedpark vehicle has issued a ‘card time’ to monitor the speed of the vehicle passing through the park.
All vehicles have been asked to control their speed from Bokakhat to Jakhalabandha to ensure animal security during the flood.

Bokakhat and Kalibor’s sub-division judges have imposed a ban on the roadside vehicle to ensure animal security across the highway.
Meanwhile, according to the Department of Water Resources, Brahmaputra flowed on a sign of danger in the neematighat at 4 pm on Friday.
An official said Brahmaputa’s water level was 86.02 meters against the sign of the danger at 85.54 meters.
