Noida / Ghaziabad: Gautam Budh Nagar reported 12 cases of Covid-19 and Ghaziabad nine on Friday.
A 48-year-old man who recently returned to GB Nagar from England was tested positively.
He was asymptomatic but claimed to be the isolation ward of Noida Covid Hospital.
All patients left in GB Nagar are residents and test covid-positive in random samples.
District reported 89 cases this month, including 47 active cases.
In Ghaziabad, among patients was a 19-year-old child who was studying in England and recently returned to Kavi Nagar.
He is asymptomatic and stored in house isolation.
The wife and son of a retired DSP, who had previously been tested positively, was also found infected on Friday.
Two entrepreneurs, living in Raj Nagar and Nehru Nagar, also got an infection.
Other patients are only residents.
According to the Ghaziabad Health Department, nine patients had taken two doses of vaccines.
Except students from the UK, others have mild symptoms such as sore throat, fever, cold and cough.
However, all of them undergo house isolation.
The department has sent their samples for genome sequencing.
Meanwhile, Ghaziabad saw 5,602 people returning to the district from abroad in December.
