Patna: Head of Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to put the foundation for a 2.2 km double-decker flyover in Ashok Rajpath in 4.
September, starting from the Cargil Chowk to Patna Science College, is expected to relieve the movement of the vehicle in Ashok Rajpath.

The road construction department has requested Bihar Rajya Pul Nigam Limited (BrPNNL) officials to start preparations for the plaid laying ceremony that will take place near Cargil Chowk.
The Chairperson of the Pankaj Kumar Pal said the foundation plate ceremony will be held on Saturday, although official confirmation has not yet arrived.
“The Four-Lane Flyover is targeted to be built with RS 422 Crore expenditure in three years with a company based in Delhi, Gawar Construction Limited,” he added.
“The Flyover will make it easier for traffic in Ashok Rajpath and facilitate a smooth ambulance movement and other vehicles.
After completion of this project, the vehicle will move on three levels – Tier 2 levels, Tier 1 and Add-Grade (existing roads).
Class level Will remain the same.
All four Tier 1 lanes and Tier 2 will have three doors out for PMCH through their multi-level parking before ending near the Patna Science College, “said Pal.
He added, “The Double-Decker Flyover and Ganga Expressway, another Mega project, will be connected via Krishna Ghat.
One road will be near Krishna Ghat and others near Patna Science College.” Tier 1 length (from Patna Science College to Cargil Chowk) will be 1.45 km and level 2 (from Cargil Chowk to Patna Science College) 2.2km.
The length of the multi-level car parking loop, on the other hand, will be 145m.
The proposed flyover width will be reduced slightly near the Oriental Khuda Baksh library to save the Hall Reading George Curzon from Demolition.
