SRINAGAR: Minister of Finance Union Nirmala Sitharaman announced GST level discounts on Kashmir products made of home, such as carved wood products, art equipment, wooden barrel decorative articles, Mache Papier, handmade carpets, textiles, and floor coverings, etc.
On a one-day trip to Kashmir, Sitharaman while interacting with officials of the Indirect Tax Center & Customs Board in Srinagar said that funds for the development and projects that have been given to the People’s J & K Post The Recogation of Article 370 has made all the aspirations of people into reality .
“It’s no use if it’s stored only for a small population.
Some people hold all resources and deny ordinary citizens and that is why in the current government normally seen participating in the election process,” he said.
He said that ordinary citizens actively participated in the selection process regardless of calls that forbid them to do it.
