New Delhi: Delhi witnessed a decrease in visibility on Thursday morning because the first spell of the first fog with a maximum temperature that settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, said the Indian Meteorology Department.
The weather office predicts some of the cloudy skies with shallow fog to moderate in the morning on Friday.
RK Jenamani, a senior scientist at the IMD, said that the first spell fog over Delhi-NCR began on Thursday.
“Both airports – IGI Palam and Safdarjung – have reported poor visibility with significant reductions to a range of 600-800 meters due to shallow fog and fog in the morning,” Jenamani said.
“This is to soothe and wind and the presence of a higher moisture.
Like a shallow fog to happen especially during the hours of morning to November 6 and decrease after that,” he said.
The city witnessed a cold morning on Thursday with a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, normal for now this year, said IMD.
According to the meeting department, the moisture rate was recorded at 71 percent at 5:30 a.m.
on Thursday.
The weather office predicted that mercury would likely fall by some notches for the next two to three days with the direction of the wind changed to the northwest.
The minimum temperature is likely to drop to 14 degrees Celsius in the next two days, IMD officials are predicted.
