Surat: The Federation of Gujarat Weaver’s Welfare Association (FOGWWA) has required that all kinds of yarn employed in weaving cloths be comprised under Essential Commodities Act.
FOGWWA has already written to Union textile ministry Smriti Irani alleging that yarn producers are thinking yarn rates.
Speculation is leading to growth of yarn costs exponentially placing the weavers at a tight place and influencing the cloth price.
FOGWWA office-bearers stated that when yarn is contained in the action, the producers won’t have the ability to shape syndicate and boost the costs.
