Rajkot: The Kutch district government on Monday called’regrettable’ the action of celebrated Gujarati folk singer Geeta Rabari along with her husband carrying Covid-19 vaccine in their home even as tens of thousands had stuck to the government plans and also stood in the queue to have the jab.
The government will also move the female health employee that administered the vaccine into the couple in their home at Madhapar village nearby Bhuj on Saturday.
On the other hand, the correspondence holds very little importance because there’s not any provision under the legislation to take actions against any personal citizen obtaining the jab at the comfort of their residence.
Rabari had uttered a controversy by submitting an image of hers carrying the vaccine in the home on social networking.
But she deleted the photograph on Sunday following the row.
Meanwhile, the officials said looking in the great job achieved by the feminine healthcare worker during Covid-19, she’ll be moved to a different centre.
Resources stated Rabari understood the health employee, so she requested her to return home regardless of obtaining the slot in a clerk center.
Dr JO Madhak, principal district health club (CDHO), Kutch, said in a statement:”Approximately 5.28 lakh individuals in Kutch were inoculated and individuals such as women and older people went into the Accreditation centre even because the place was far out of their home.
They stood at the queue to become inoculated.” “You’re a folk singer as well as the citizen of the nation, you’re certain to adhere to the principles of this authorities.
You and your spouse got the very first dose of medication on Saturday in your house by breaking the principle, which is very regrettable.
This sort of act does not befit a folk singer just like you and it’s created a negative effect on the heads of their health area, government and ordinary folks,” the letter says.
“The situation needs an explanation by a health worker who’s tirelessly working for quite a while,” the letter said.
CDHO cautioned Rabari to not replicate this action when taking the next dose.
