Kolkata: Justice B Amit Stalekar and members of the Saibal Dasgupta expert from the Eastern Stool National Green Tribunal (NGT) asked the train to follow the environmental law while disposing of waste and treating HOWRAH and UPIAH stations.
NGT also asked the train to complete the construction of resolving waste treatment plants (ETP) in sequence.
The bench observed that waste treatment plants (ETP) in complex coaching Tikiapara & Training complex and prolonged short page groupings were not fully operational.
The train, in his statement, stated that annual maintenance and an operational contract worth 65.24 lakh for 3 years was under finalization.
NGT directs the train to send a time schedule along with the action plan, where the contract will be completed on September 9, the next date of receipt.
The train in Affidavit said that the track was being cleaned regularly with the involvement of contractors for work at Rs 14.95 lakh.
