Pune: A 33-year-old man, who began working as a food delivery partner after being dismissed from a car company, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday night.
“The accident occurred near Talegaon along Jalan Talegaon-Chakan around 8:30 a.m., when the deceased, Vishwanath Jamadar, was on his way to send food in Vadgaon,” said Sub-Inspector Dnyaneshwar Zol.
He survived his wife and a baby’s daughter, whose birthday on September 24.
Prime Facie Probe revealed that Jamadar motorbikes were hit by a fast truck, Zol said.
The truck driver did not stop after the accident.
Jamadar was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Ashok Ghosale, brother-in-law who died, said Jamadar, who had completed the ITI course, working with an automatic company for 10 years before he was dismissed with other workers.
He has taken a flat rent and found it difficult to pay emis.
A few months ago, Jamdar joined a food delivery company.
