Footsteps in half temples in Chennai

Chennai: There are nearly 50% of the fall of visitors to major temples throughout the city on the first day of this year compared to the appropriate days in normal years, said a city police officer.

Officials of the Police Council and Endowmen of Religion and Charity (HR & CE) conducted thermal scans and provided sanitaryers to worshipers at the entrance of the temples in Mylapore and Triplican.
Commissioner of Mylapore District from Police Disha Mittal said, “We provide facial masks to those who visit the temple without wearing it.
