New Delhi: Although all weekly markets have been permitted to function and guidelines have been spent to ensure the appropriate behavior of Covid, the manufacture of vendors and customers in these places is still low, the city company has claimed.
In addition to visits / checks by district administration, civil bodies have formed a zonal team to randomly visit these markets for the right implementation of all rules.
They have also installed boards in several places that determine outside market limitations that cannot set vendors.
“On Monday, the weekly market was held in places, including streets, according to the direction of Delhi Disaster Management Authority and District Administration.
But the number of vendors and limited buyers present may be due to lack of clarity,” said an East official Delhi Municipal Corporation.
A similar situation was reported in North Delhi.
A corporate official Municipal Delhi North said the voters were almost zero in places.
“We expect surgery to take from next week.” Rajesh Gupsta from the North Delhi Weekly Market Association said that after facing an uncertain situation for almost two years because of a pandemic, many vendors did not have resources to continue their business.
“Since October, I have received at least 2,500 applications from vendors in civilian lines and kehavpuram for loans under PM Street Vendor Atma Nirbhi Nidhi.” Gupta said the association had sent applications to the company and 1,000 cases had been approved so far.
“We hope the government helps us continue our operations and get livelihoods in these difficult times,” he added.
