For better or for Metaverse: TN married couples at VR

Chennai: On the first Sunday of February, when the sun rises in a small village in Krishnagiri Regency, Dinesh S and Janaganandhini Ramaswamy will tie the knot.
Then, when the dusk of waterfall, the pair will get ready for a wedding reception.
But instead of jumping into a decorated car, the duo will turn on their laptops and enter the link that will take them to their virtual virtual – Hogwarts Castle Dining Room – where their avatar will meet and greet people who are loved by their logging from on the whole world.
And lead the function will be the late Janaganandhini’s father’s avatar.
“I came up with the idea of having a metaverse wedding reception, and my fiance also liked the idea,” said Dinesh, a project colleague in Iit Madras, whose marriage to Janaganandhini software developer will be held on February 6 in Sivalingapuram Village.
Metaverse is a simulated digital environment that uses augmented reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Blockchain, along with concepts of social media, to make space for rich user interactions.
Recently, Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg introduced Meta, who worked to build Metaverse, “where we will play and connect in 3D”.
Microsoft will immediately carry a mesh, a collaborative platform for virtual experience, directly to the Microsoft team.
And people quickly surrendered to the idea.
US-based traci and Dave Gagnon made news when they married in Metaverse last December.
“I have been into Crypto and Blockchain technology, and has mine Ethereum, a form of cryptocurrency, for the past year,” said Dinesh.
“Because Blockchain is the basic metaverse technology, when my marriage was repaired, I thought of having reception in Metaverse.” When he sounded the idea with Janaganandhini, he was happy.
“This tends to be as we encountered in Insta and will have our wedding reception in Meta,” he said.
With a surge in Covid case, it is also the best choice.
“We invited close family and friends for our wedding.
We want to have more people for our reception.
When a large meeting is prohibited now, having one in Metaverse is the perfect solution,” said Dinesh, who approached Vignesh Selvaraj of Quatics Tech, which specializes in developing web and cellular applications.
Because Dinesh and Janaganandhini are both potterheads, they want the HARRY POTTER-themed receptionist.
“Metaverse is the future, so we are trying to create a virtual world, catapult, where people can play and spend time.
So, when Dinesh approached us, we were very happy by holding Metaverse reception,” Vignesh said.
The bridal avatar will be dressed in traditional Indian clothes.
All guests will be linked, so they can log in, choose Avatar – there will be avatars wearing Indian and Western clothes – and then interacting during reception one hour.
“We received a wedding gift through Metaverse.
Guests can transfer gift vouchers, or GPay, and we also accept Crypto as a gift,” said Dinesh, added that the only thing missing at the reception would be food.
Touch for it is an avatar father-in-law who is late in dinesh.
“We have several photos from him from all angles so our designers can make the avatar,” Vignesh said.
