For Indian Pitta nests, the resort turns off bungee jumping

Vadodara: He has invested Lakh Rupee to offer adventure sports to visitors at his resort in Dabhoi.
But when Bandish Shah knows that winged guests have made her residence just above the Jumping Bungee platform at the resort, she took unusual steps.
Shah, nature lovers, decided to close the bungee jumping platform for all visitors.
“The Indian Pitta pair has made a nest at the corner of the platform.
If I remain open to adventure sports lovers, the nest will be damaged or the movement will disturb the bird.
After thinking, I closed it a month ago,” Shah Toi said.
“Pitta India first had a date of courtship and so men and women united, they built a nest.
I note the nest appears on a 50-foot high platform a month-and-half ago when we are preparing to open a place for adventure lovers,” said Shah, who is also a council member sitting from Vadodara.
And for his excitement, Pitta India has put six eggs in the nest.
“With the second wave of Covid Efbing, visitors have begun to flock our place.
But we will open Bungee to jump only after in August when the birds will fly with their babies,” Shah was 57 years old and added that other Indian Pitta pairs is building a nest near the resort.
“We have closed it too,” he said.
“Indian Pitta usually only builds a nest in a tree.
It rarely makes a nest on the man-made platform or pole,” said Kartik Upadhyay, a diligent bird observer.
When asked about causing losses, Shah said, “I started this place for environmentally friendly tourism and not only for business.
I can always benefit from this vehicle later.
My resort spread over 130 hectares who only have 11 hectares who have construction.
The rest of the land is covered with thick trees where around 155 species of birds have been recorded.
