Mumbai: For the second day in a row, Maharashtra reported below 4,500 cases, and the city registered less than 200 cases.
The city also reported two deaths, the lowest since March 2, this year.
The state added 116 deaths.

The total Caseload in Mumbai rose to 7.39,722 and death touched 15,925.
A BMC senior official said that because of a national holiday on Monday, fewer tests were carried out in the city rather than usual.
The BMC update showed that 2.508 was carried out as against 35,000 used.
According to the BMC Covid dashboard, the number of active cases has been steady down from 4,887 on 1 August to 2,749 on August 16.
The level of the multiplier has increased to 1,986 days.
“The second Covid-19 wave has receded, but is alarming there are still Covid 200-300 cases reported every day and we must be careful to ensure cases do not increase,” “said Dr Shashank Joshi, a member of the state government of the task force in Covid.
