Mumbai: The day after the state reported to record low deaths and cases, Maharashtra reported the increase in Covid cases and death compared to Sundays.
On Monday, the country reported 1.201 cases and 32 deaths, took the total case to 66.05 lakh and the death reached 1,40,060.
On Sundays, the country has reported under 900 cases and 12 deaths.
Meanwhile, for the second day, Mumbai registered less than 300 cases on Tuesday.
Five deaths are registered in Mumbai, compared to seven on Monday.
BMC officials said that even though a little ordinary test (31,280) was carried out, the level of pepositives in the city had been low.
“Even if more than 35,000 tests are carried out, positive cases cannot be much higher,” said a doctor who worked in a civil hospital.
Data shows that even when the number of daily deaths in this country is low, everyday victims in Mumbai have increased proportionally.
On Monday, Mumbai recorded seven of the 12 deaths in the state.
During the week between 19 and 25 October, 212 people had died of Coronavirus in the state, including 36 of Mumbai.
Officials said that in the last 24 hours more than one Lakh test was carried out, which was lower than an average of 1.20 lakh tests carried out throughout the week, but higher than more than 84,000 tests carried out during the weekend.
“Even though the case will rise slightly if more tests are done, the level of prospective remains stable,” the official said.
Active cases continue to fall in the state and city.
At 11.26,871, most recovery in the state was reported from Pune District.
