Jaipur: This city has witnessed an exponential increase in the population, but the number of police officers who look after their people and traits are very short.
For the estimated population of more than 30 lakh, there are only 10,419 police in the police coming.
This means there is one police officer for nearly 300 people in the city according to the numbers accessed by TOI, there are 12,459 sanctions posts which are only 10,419 which are filled with 2,040 empty.
When large spots of agricultural plots have turned into recent areas, city police forces have not been refilled with strength, comparable to their needs.
A total of 663 posts for sub-inspectors (SIS) were approved for the commissioner, but the city police only had 208 sis available for assignments because 455 posts were empty.
The difference between post and sanctions vacancies is slightly better in the category of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Asis) where 527 ASI comes against 706 POSS subject to sanctions.
There are still vacancies for 179 Asis.
Both Sis and ASI are very important for the unlimited operation of the police station in the city where many Thesu confuses the jurisdiction spread across the area.
Similarly, there are sanction vacancies for 2,322 head-constables (HCS) while their current strength is 1,815.
In fact, post restrictions reserved for IPS, there are staff scarcity at all other levels.
With a police station recently founded a police at the Ramnagariya gate and Malpura, and several others in the pipe, the current strength was too excessive.
A senior comician official said Jaipur police had to patrol the highway and the halls that knew the city.
The same strength must also maintain VIP, high security areas, and present at important traffic points.
“The city police mandate as a force that maintains the state capital includes various challenges.
For this reason, the police must make their presence feel in all fields,” the official said.
For the 30L population, Jaipur only has 10,000 police officers
