New Delhi: Two State-owned Fertilizer Companies, Limited National Fertilizers (NFL) and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) signed MoUs with fertilizer cooperatives, IFFCO on Tuesday to encourage the production of Urea Nano liquid, which will reduce the volume of chemical fertilizers used in this country.
It will also reduce logistics costs and transportation problems.
Uni Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said more production of Urea Nano fluid would help solve several problems by reducing urea use with up to 50% and it would also protect soil health.
He added the product to have the potential to prove to be a modifier of games for agriculture in the country and India has become the first country globally to start commercial production of Nano Urea.
Liquid Nano Urea is expected to potentially replace 137 lakh tons of conventional urea use in 2023.
One bottle of 500 ml of nano urea can replace urea bags 45 kg.
Even wise, this is cheaper than conventional urea.
The size of one nano urea liquid particles is 30 nanometers and because of the ultra-small size and surface surface, this liquid is absorbed by plants more effectively when sprayed on the leaves.
“This technology transfer will increase production towards supply that consistently produce faster adoption and will also produce more savings for farmers and government subsidies,” said the fertilizer ministry at MOU’s significance.
Underpointing the need for faster adaptability, Mandaviya said there was fertilizer use in India.
This deteriorated soil health.
Unbalanced use also causes water and air pollution.
