Chennai: The core area of the city is limping about normal conditions after heavy rain, but the suburban environment is still struggling against inundation, coupled with fears will be unknown.
While in areas such as T Nagar, several roads are still flooded, interior roads in Madipakkam, ThoraiPakkam, Bachelor, Colathur, Ennore and Mudichur continue to be flooded and deserve to get direct attention from the authorities.
With heavy rain it is predicted in the next 24 hours, many residents are worried about their safety.
Some of them have even shifted to other areas to stay with their friends and family for several days.
Many residents of Varadharajapuram kept the essence in stores that were built specifically on their terraces.
K Arul Kumar from Varadharajapuram moved his furniture to the terrace on Monday itself.
“The warning of intensive rain for the next few days has become a matter of worries,” he said.
In the area around the Arjamantur and Jawahar Nagar in Colathur, rainwater has not been drained for more than three days.
Colathur is the election of the MK Stalin Minister of MK.
On Wednesday, senior personnel from Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services (TNFR) visited the area and incredible assistance assistance.

“The battered road coupled with water stagnation has made a risky life for motorists,” said K Puni, a resident.
