Force Center to hold Caste Census: Tejashwi

Patna: Opposition leader at the Tejashwi Tejashwi Assembly Prasad Yadav on Saturday wrote to 33 non-BJP leaders of the country, including Bihar CM Nith Kumar, looking for their support to put pressure on the center to conduct a caste-based census.
In the letter, Tejashwi refers to a written statement submitted by the center at the Supreme Court which states that the caste census in 2021 “will not be feasible”.
“There has been a fairly large debate and discussion recently about the importance of Caste Census.
There is not a single reason with the desire of the caste census,” read the part of the letter.
Among other things, the letter was aimed at the Congress of President Sonia Gandhi, Head of NCP Sharad Pawar, former Uthest Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Singh and Mayawati, Tamil CM MK Stalin, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Delhi CM Arvind Kenni, Delhi CM, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and Punjab CM Chararjit Singh Channi.
Among the leaders of Bihar, Tejashwi has sent a letter to HAM (S) Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, Jamui MP Chirag Paswan, founder of VIP Mukesh Sahani and Aimim State President Akhtarul Iman.
“The caste-based census will actually lead to concerns concerns that countries like India must be present with a sense of urgency.
This is a historic opportunity before we encourage an important agenda to make this country more adalatiters.
This will play an important role in ensuring social harmony and national cohesion , “Tejashwi wrote.
Tejashwi said he was open to the advice and input of non-BJP leaders so that the action plan could be prepared immediately.
