New Delhi: Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday demands a complete lock in Delhi for a week without vehicles that are permitted on the road except important services.
The party said this would be proven to be the extent to which the burning stump was responsible for air pollution in the national capital and what was ‘hands in pollution’ Delhi.
Ramvir Singh Bidhuri’s opposition leader and other BJP leaders participated in a Dharna outside the Minister of Chief Justice Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday and blamed the Delhi government for failing to control air pollution.
Minister of Environment Delhi Gopal Rai on Sunday said that the Central Java government had taken concrete steps in his struggle against air pollution.
He said that orders had been issued to turn off institutions and pollution activities, and this difficult decision was taken at an emergency meeting about pollution chaired by cm.
Bidhuri said that if there was pollution in Delhi because of stump, then stating like Punjab and Haryana had to have more pollution than Delhi because the stump was burned there.
He claimed that pollution on Sundays in various cities Punjab was far less than Delhi.
