Gurugram: Some residents of Ardee City have claimed to fight for the past month to get a broken output service cable replaced by Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).
Diskomic officials, they accused, reluctant to replace them by quoting a lack of cable in inventory and forcing them to provide material.
This, they added, have placed an additional burden of Rs 10,000-Rs 20,000 in their pocket.
Susan Khan, a resident, said the service output cable at her house was broken on August 21, after that she had to pursue officials to replace it.
“One of them said they did not have a replacement and we needed to buy it.
This, despite the fact that we paid all the contributions on time, as well as additional service fees,” he said.
Vinit Taneja, another resident, said, “My cable was broken on September 13 but the DHBVN staff could not detect errors.
The next day, Lineman arranged a temporary connection from my neighbor.
He told me to set up your own cable or pay if they arranged.
It’s been a week But we don’t have my own electricity.
We can’t rely on a temporary connection without limits.
This also affects our neighbor’s electrical load.
DHBVN must ensure no inconvenience caused by consumers and provide the services they set.
“Some other residents in the colony, where More than 2,500 family lives, also claimed they were facing similar problems and said there was no choice but to spend money.
They showed that after the diskom took over maintenance in September 2018, RS 26,000 was collected per household for lack of electricity, which they had paid with installments.
The cable in the colony was placed two decades ago and needed an urgent reshuffle, they added.
Ardee City President Rwa Parveen Yadav said, “Dhbvn takes over the colony on the condition that the residents will pay the cost of RS 6.56 Crore Inaccurate.
“The Managing Director of DHBVN PC Meena said,” I did not realize it.
I will direct the official to look into this problem and finish it earliest.
