Chandrapur: Facing a severe financial crisis because of the covid-induced class, the pair ends life in Babupeth locality on the outskirts of the city.
According to the police source, Chandrabhan Dubey (60) and his wife Manju (50) was used to run Maa Mamata Bhojanalay opposite the College Engineering College at Chandrapur-Ballarpur Road.
On Monday morning, the nearest resident felt a foul smell from Dubey’s house and peered inside to find a husband and wife die.
Chandrabhan’s body lay on the ground, while Manju depended on the snare.
Residents told the city police about this and the team rushed to the place.
The police broke the door to enter the house and took the body to postmortem.
The further decomposition stage shows that the two may have died more than two days ago, suspicious of the police.
Sources informed that Chandrabhan suffered paralysis sometimes and his wife managed chaos.
However, Covid’s pandemic was followed by locking to take victims on their business.
While a good amount spent on continuing treatment from the runaway of Chandrabhan, the couple was under a severe financial crisis because there was no business for months together.
Duo does not have close relatives, but some friends in the neighborhood, which helps a little.
The police suspect that the duo took extreme steps after financial stress and chandrabhan disease that could not be recovered.
City police have registered cases and are investigating further.
