BANGKOK: Ford Motor Co is investing $ 900 million to increase the factory in Thailand which build trucks pickup ranger and SUV Everest, the largest investment in the country.
The plan includes double the number of robots in Thailand manufacturing plants and in Thailand Autoalliance, a business with Mazda Motor Corp, while the $ 400 million investment will go to the supply chain network.
It will also add to the second shift to the Ford plant which will produce as many as 1,250 new jobs, bringing workers in Thailand to more than 9,000.
