Guwahati: Foreign tourists do not have a role in pushing the third wave of omicron induced in Assam, said the source of the state health department, only about 2? or 118 of 5,458 foreign travelers testing positive covid after arriving in the state in the past two months.
Only 32 of them are positive omicron until January 31, follow the original genomic sequencing.
“There is no certainty that foreign travelers carry omicron variants to them to Assam and Northeast.
