Coimbatore: The forest department has intended to radio-collar that a tusker known as’Baahubali’ from the Mettupalayam woods range to research its own habitats, migratory trails and protect against man-animal conflicts.The main wildlife warden has issued requests for radio-collar’Baahubali’ for research purposes.
“A group was formed to track the elephant.
After the elephant arrives to appropriate terrain, then the staff will control the animal and repair the collar.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has contributed the radio-collar into the forest division,” district D Venkatesh stated.
