Nagpur: Without a hint of this leopard on the day, the woods teams are leaving no rock unturned.
On Wednesday they attended a prank phone regarding the creature sighting but it likely turned out to become civet cat.
After murdering a pig around Maharajbagh zoo at Monday-Tuesday nighttime, it had been anticipated that the predator could return to the kill but it did not.
It’s shifting places and therefore it’s getting hard to monitor it.
“The leopard didn’t input any one of the 3 cages put to tempt it with goats .
The creature was not recorded in some of those camera traps close to the zoo place.
We’re puzzled with its own behaviour,” explained Dr Bharat Singh Hada, deputy conservator of forests (DyCF), Nagpur branch.
Hada stated that they also attended a prank phone if a security guard in the border of this VNIT campus stated he saw a creature leaping from 1 tree into another and also there were dogs close to the place.
“But in accordance with the description provided by the shield, it appears to be a civet cat.
Was a leopard, then dogs wouldn’t have been close to the shrub.
There was no indirect evidence discovered regarding the creature,” explained Hada.
“Today, we’ve got an elevated variety of cages and camera pushes.
For a switch, these cameras will soon be placed close to the openings of the nullahs.
As an approach, we also have asked officials to split into small groups so the creature isn’t disturbed.
It’s likely that because of this audience it’s changing locations frequently throughout the nighttime,” Hada said.
The leopard was initially sighted by Narendra Chakole and Kishor Jagtap pn their home property in Gayatri Nagar neat National Power Training Institute (NPTI) on May 28.
Ever since then the predator has traveled 5km (as crow flies) to attain Maharajbagh zoo.
