Foresters proposes to build zipline in Nrupatunga Betta

Hubballi: In an effort to add a piece of adventure to life in twin cities, the Forestry Department contemplates the development of zipline in Nrupatunga Betta.
Zipline will stretch at 400m, and it is estimated that a total of 50 lakh rs.
Officials of the Ministry of Forestry in the Dharwad Department has drafted a proposal for the development of pipes in Nrupatunga Betta, one of the favorite weekends among the population of twin cities, and is expected to immediately proceed to the government.
Two private companies – each of Mysuru and Pune – have conducted a survey of Betta Nrupatunga, and both have expressed interest in establishing zipline.
The Ministry of Forestry is expected to begin inviting tenders after the government keeps the project.
Zipline from the top of the hill to his leg is expected to be withdrawn at a height of 30 feet or 40 feet of the ground.
While zipline has been used for transporting goods at the hill station, riding zipline now is an adventure sport for young and old.
The Ministry of Forestry has built a 400-meter zipline in Taman Saalumarada Thimmakka in Binkadakatti in the Kappatagudda forest in Gadag.
This is a solitary zipline throughout the North Karnataka.
The Forestry Department really wants to add zipline by developing it in Nrupatunga Betta.
A forest department official said that personnel would be trained to operate and maintain zipline.
Zipline at Kappatagudda in Gadag attracted young people from across from North Karnataka, and The Foresters hoped that, after being installed in Nrupatunga Betta in Hubballi, Zipline would prove as a big attraction.
Deputy Yashpal Kshirsagar Forest Conservator was confirmed to the TOI that the proposal for the development of zipline in Nrupatunga Betta was designed.
“Once the government provides its nod, we will begin construction without delay.
After completion, zipline will be an attractive experience for young people in Dharwad and other districts.
This will benefit more people if built in Hubballi,” he added.
