NEW DELHI: Former Minister of Assam Minister Sarbanou Sonowal took an oath as an Union Minister in the Cabinet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
Sarbanou Sonowal served as Head of Assam Minister Between 2016 and 2021.
He previously served as Minister of State for the Union (independent charge) for the development of skills and entrepreneurship and sports and adolescents in his first cabinet.
Sonowal has started from the politics of students and is the president of the oldest student of Assam, all Assam (AASU) students from 1992 to 1999.
He is the President of the Union 1992 to 1999.
Also from 1994 – 2004, Sonowal is the Chair of the Northeast Student Organization (NESO) , Umbrella student organizations spread in seven northeastern countries.
From 2001 to 2004, he served as MLA, Assam Legislative Assembly of Moran’s constituency.
From 2004 – 2009, he served as a member of Parliament, 14 Lok Sabha from the constituency of being deployed.
