Former BMC Nalinaxa’s head died of burns

Mumbai: Former Head of BMC K Nalinaksia died of burns at a private hospital in the city on Friday, Prafulla Marpakwar reported.
According to reports, the 79-year-old veteran bureaucrat appeared Pooja at home on Wednesday morning when Burning Camphor fell to him, burning his clothes.
He was then hospitalized with severe burning injury.

Nalinaxa brought a new policy in the Civic Bodyan Indian Service (IAS) from Batch 1967, NaliSaa was the head of BMC for 10 months in 1999.
Known for making a quick decision, he held several posts in the state and the central government.
During his term as an urban development secretary from 1995 to 1999, Nalinaks played an important role in bringing new policies in BMC, especially the rules of development control.
He was a collector of Akola in 1977 and Nanded in 1979.
He led Port Trust Mormugao in 1983 and Bombay Port Trust (BPT) in 1985.
He was an officer about special tasks (OSD) for Wardha’s development plan in 1988.
Besides Leading the Department of Relief and Rehabilitation, he is the main secretary, transportation and excise additional.
For a short period, he is also Chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT).
