Mumbai: Former Head of BMC K Nalinaksia died of burns at a private hospital in the city on Friday, Prafulla Marpakwar reported.
According to reports, the 79-year-old veteran bureaucrat appeared Pooja at home on Wednesday morning when Burning Camphor fell to him, burning his clothes.
He was then hospitalized with severe burning injury.

He led Port Trust Mormugao in 1983 and Bombay Port Trust (BPT) in 1985.
He was an officer about special tasks (OSD) for Wardha’s development plan in 1988.
Besides Leading the Department of Relief and Rehabilitation, he is the main secretary, transportation and excise additional.
For a short period, he is also Chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT).
