New Delhi: Less than three months after being appointed as Secretary General of Rajya Sabha, PPK Ramacharyulu has been replaced with former CBDT PC mody chairman, the source said on Friday.
Mody was appointed as New Secretary General Rarding Sabha just a few weeks before the commencement of the Parliamentary Winter Session, which is expected to begin on November 29.
MODY, Former Chairperson of the CBDT Council (CBDT), will be a new secretary general of the Upper House of Parliament.
The Chairperson of Rajya Sabha M Venkaiiah Naidu has signed an order for this effect, the source at the Sabha’s Rajya Secretariat.
Ramacharyulu has now been appointed as an advisor at the Sabha’s Rajya Secretariat, they added.
Ramacharyulu was appointed as Secretary General of Rajya Sabha on September 1.
There is no reason given to his successor, the source said.
Mody tends to be responsible on Friday, they added.
Responding to Ramacharyulu’s news which was replaced within three months, the leader of the Congress and Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh wrote on Twitter: “Not surprised at all of PPK Ramacharyulu is a professional, non-partisan and very eligible for deadly sins.
